Every morning I start of my computer and visit a number of forums and websites that I regularly read for information and to answer questions. I was in one of the forums today and came across a guy that was complaining about his lack of support from his wife and how it was making it hard for him to keep his business going. As I was talking with the guy, I couldn't help but think how hard it would be building this home based business without my spouses support.

As if it isn't already hard enough to deal with the complications of generating and maintaining an online presence, you have to deal with the people that are a big part of your reason for putting in the long days telling you how what your working so hard on will never work. The following are the 3 biggest reasons I feel that people have trouble with support on the home front and can hinder them from ever achieving MLM success.
First, a lot of people don't involve their significant others in the home business process from start to finish. The storyline goes like this: person gets excited and joins an MLM, they are told that a web presence is the best way to grow the business, they go to work spending additional hours building their business and spending less time with the family, money doesn't come in immediately, spouse feels neglected. I might have missed a few steps, but you get the idea. Building a successful business takes commitment from the person involved and an understanding spouse, especially if they won't be participating.
Next, their is still a stigma surrounding the MLM industry in general. The spouse could go to work and tell some friends about what the other spouse is doing and get some negative feedback from the circle of influence their. The feedback can result in an instant negative light on the work being done because of someones opinion who likely has no basis for giving an opinion at all. It doesn't have to be work, but could be anywhere or anyone to give the other spouse an inkling of doubt.
Lastly, if money doesn't come rolling in the first 30 days, some spouses seem to think the system and model don't work. All they see is the time and money that is being invested to run the business and aren't experiencing any results.
What do you think the main reasons are for people not receiving spousal support? Attaining MLM Success is a daunting task to start with, but without the proper support at home, it will be much harder.
